This really shouldn’t be in a CSS gallery. Although I usually adore light on dark and use of opacity in achieving subtle tones I think he has got the colour scheme completely wrong. It is more of a sickly brown and the contrast between background and text to make it legible, even for the non-visually impared, let alone those who are.

The grid is very rigid and so unimaginative that instead of producing the usual pleasing visual effect which the grid is so good at it actually makes you want to never design to a grid again.

The headings don’t stand out, the design is a little too similar to that of Dan Rubin and there is very little to set this apart from any other newbie web designer’s site.

I mean these criticisms in a constructive manor but I’m sure I’m not alone in my views. This does not deserver a rating or a place on this site.

Who are you to question Jeff Croft? Are you even worthy? I don’t think you belong on the internet.

I agree with Derek. This site has horrible color issues, is VERY hard to read, and doesn’t even work correctly on all browsers.

I don’t care if its Jeff Croft or the Prince of Saudi Arabia, if it looks like crap then it is crap. That is exactly what comes to mind when I see this brown ‘website:’ crap.
